2025 AGM
The 2025 AGM will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd at 7:00 at Olympic View, with sign-in starting at 6:30. Please attend if you are able, it is important that we have good representation and this is a chance to have your say and influence the future of the organization, plus, we will be giving away a free 2026 registration! Positions up for election are: President, Second Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and 5 Divisional Director positions. If you are interested in one of these positions or in taking on some other volunteer role with the organization, please contact President, Kris Walushka at president@langfordfastball.ca. In addition to the elections, we propose to make some amendments to the Bylaws and Operating Rules as follows:
Proposed changes to Langford Minor Fastball Bylaws, July 2, 2025:
- Article 3, Section 1 1) (a) is amended as follows:
By changing “October 1st” to “August 1st”; and
By changing “September 30th” to “July 31st”.
2. Article 3, Section 1 1) (b) is amended as follows:
By adding “, Secretary” after “President”;
By changing “October 1st” to “August 1st”; and
By changing “September 30th” to “July 31st”.
3. Article 3, Section 1 1)(c) is amended as follows:
By changing “October 1st” to “August 1st”; and
By changing “September 30th” to “July 31st”.
4. Article 3, Section 2, “Directors” 1) is amended as follows:
By deleting “(U6-U8); U10; U12; U14; and U16-U19” and replacing it with “(U7-U9); U11; U13; U15; and U17-U19”.
5. Article 5, Section 1 is amended as follows:
By deleting the words “, noting longer requirements in Articles 12 and 13 if changes are being made to the Constitution, Bylaws or Operating Rules”.
6. Article 5, Section 6, is amended as follows:
By adding the following at the end of the section:
“Meetings of the Executive may be conducted electronically, and any business that may be conducted at a meeting of the executive may be conducted by an electronic vote of the executive at the discretion of the President.”
7. Article 12, Section 1 shall be amended as follows:
By deleting the number “70” and replacing it with “21”; and
By deleting the number “60” and replacing it with “14”.
8. Article 13, Section 1 shall be amended as follows:
By deleting the number “70” and replacing it with “21”; and
By deleting the number “60” and replacing it with “14”.
Proposed changes to Langford Minor Fastball Operating Rules, July 2, 2025:
- Section 1 is deleted and replaced with:
“1. This section is intentionally blank.”
2. Section 8 is amended as follows:
By deleting both instances of “U12C” and replacing them with “U13C”.
These changes will be voted on at the AGM and will require a 75% majority vote of voting members present.
