New Umpires Needed!!
Interested in earning some extra money being involved with the game you love?! We are looking for new umpires, ages 12 and up. Current players interested in doing some games at lower levels are ideal, but so are siblings, parents, grandparents, friends - no experience necessary! You can choose your own schedule, as many or as few games as you want, and the pay is $35 per game when you work with a partner, and $50 for solo games, plus a concession credit on days you work. We provide gear and mentoring!
All new umpires need to get certified, the information to sign up for a clinic is here: https://softball.bc.ca/content/umpire-certification-clinics . Langford is hosting an in-person skills clinic this Sunday, March 2nd at the Juan de Fuca indoor turf (scroll down the page to "Level 1 & 2 In-Person Mechanics"), with the theory portion being available online. LMF reimburses those 19 and under for the cost of the course immediately upon completion, and adults once they have done 10 games for Langford Fastball (easy to do with our 4 tournaments and tons of exhibition and league games!).
